You know yourself the best !!! really ??

I have heard this sentence being told to me several times over. When I doubt myself and ask someone for help they tell me "Dear there is nothing much I can tell you, You know whats good for you".
Well I diagree. I think if their is someone that you know the least in this world, its but yourself. Everyday is a new surprise , each time you think its not possible your Self surprises you with the possibility.
Its only when you stop exploring new things that you tend to feel like you have been the same and have never changed, that you know yourself too well
Stop curbing your capacity..
Gods given everyone enough and more ... The difference lies in how one puts it to use..
so like the recent ad of Titan says Be More ...
Be born each day ... Explore yourself... You ll be surprised to see that sky is the limit ...

The holy month of Ramayana is here !!

In kerala the month of July-August called karkadakam is spent reading the holy book of Ramayana. Ever since I can remember I have always been fond of these days for the mere tradition it carries with itself. People get up very early in the morning visit the temple and then have a medicinal porridge followed by a list of ayurvedic medicines for detox and purification of the body. This is ofcourse followed by the reading of the Ramayana essentially to cleanse the mind as well. The day before the actual month begins is celebrated as sankaranthi, where by all houses in the neighbourhood clean their respectives homes and then burn all the wastes that they throw away , in a way simplifying the removal of negative thoughts and bad things from their lives as well. The ladies also engage in putting mehandi in their hands and also cutting their hair, in a way signifying the welcoming of a new begining . The whole month people devoid themselves from anything nonvegetarain and indulge in medicinal herbs and plants and eat all natural foods
I really appreciate the thought put in by our ancestors in scripting such beautiful traditions into our lifes, helping us to slow down and take a grip of our lives and respect and nuture the body and mind God has gifted us with

Whats with a Name ?

As shakespere once said , whats in a name ?A rose is a rose is a rose is a rose !
I read somewhere that your name seem to have an influence on the kind of person you become . One of my relatives happen to change the name of their dog from Rowdy to something else and it happened to tame the dog down!!! sounds crazy !!I wonder if thats really true ??
well going by my example I think its nowhere close to the truth !!! who I am and what my name suggest seem to be poles apart

Down but not Out!!!

The other day after Rafa won the wimbledon and the world seem to have forgotten Federer .
I still believe he is a true champion (so clear from the way he conducted himself, when he said that he did everything he could , but I guess it was Rafa's day today).
I am sure he's gonna come back stronger

Nuclear Deal or No deal do I really care !!!

Well N deal seems to be the only news that has hit the news channels these days ... Well I agree I am ignorant about the possible impact of this deal , but seriously as far as I am concerned the only thing that seems to worry me the ever rising prices of commodities. everything you can imagine has a price rise petrol ,rice ,sugar, inerest rates,rents...
But is this government really listening ???

Older Wiser Stronger

Well the other day I happened to see a bird perched on my window and I showed it to my dad.. as far as I was concerned , the story ends there. But to my pleasant surprise the very next day I see my dad with a book on birds, profusely reading ,as though he had some exam on it the next day !! Then he comes to me and shows me the picture of the bird and its name!!
The other day I happen to speak to my Grandma s sister, who was well over her prime days and hence I expected her to be sitting down and taking life easy. How wrong was I !!
She has called up to know if she would be able to learn computers as some how the machine seem to be fascinating to her!
Well the point is I m so in awe of the generation ahead of us, who seem to be curious about life. and I have always felt that our generation always lacked the curiosity
I guess its got to do with the way we spent our childhood. They were let to be just kids and discover the fun in life and learn new things , while our generation spents our childhood so mechanically trying to jump from one role to another that we lose our innocence and curiosity...
I just wish life was much simplier and less complicated for the poor souls...

Older Wiser Stronger

Well the other day we happened to see a new bird perched on my window and I happen to show it to my dad.. well as far as I was concerned the story ends there... But to my pleasant surprise I see my dad bring home a big book on birds the very next day and him profusely reading through it like he had an exam the very next day! Then after long hours of researching he comes to me and shows me this picture of the bird and its actual name.

Also the other day i happen to talk to my grandma s sister . she is well over her prime days having to battle old age
